Homeopaths refer to the medecines they prescribe as remedies. These are prepared by specialist pharmacies, typically from natural sources, which are then processed by repeated dilution and succussion (a specific form of vigorous shaking). The dilutions that result are considered "ultra high" in that very little of the original source remains. Homeopathic theory contends however that the 'active ingredient' is not the original source material, but the changes that result in the fluid in which the material is prepared. For more advice on whether homeopathic remedies might be for you, you can find practices in Crawley, Woodford Green and North London.
By way of example, the Belladonna plant is used for homeopathic remedies. The plant is mixed with water and alcohol, and prepared as usual by repeated dilution and agitation. According to homeopathic theory, this creates nanostructures which themselves are the ‘active ingredient’ rather than the Belladonna, and these nanostructures exist even after dilution to the point when conventional science might struggle to identify any trace of the original Belladonna. Homeopaths trained in the prescription of these remedies can be contacted in Southport, Woking and London.
As homeopaths start from the principle of treating the whole individual, different homeopaths may advocate slightly different treatments depending upon their assessment of your symptoms. If you would like to discuss treatments involving homeopathic medicine, there are homeopaths you can contact in Eastbourne, Essex and Hastings.
Homeopathy was developed by a German doctor and chemist, Samuel Hahnemann who emphasised the need for permanent restoration of health. His approach was aimed at prescribing on the cause of disease to obtain maximum curative effect for the individual. Many people prefer to find natural non toxic ways of treating disease and homeopathy may provide that alternative. Practices are located in Lewisham, Brighton and Totnes.
If you have been frustrated by conventional medicine for a disease or ailment, and wish to explore homeopathic remedies, then you may find homeopathy useful to begin a process of healing in the body.
